our story

sasa adopts its name from a native African language, Swahili, and means ‘now’.

at sasa our mantra is to be in the now, from that first sip of coffee to the moments that make up each day.

our love for the craft behind coffee means that we work with farmers that produce the finest beans grown at high altitudes in East Africa.

sasa is more than a name, it’s a way of being.

meet sasa's founder

Rwandan born and raised, Emmanuel has a love for all things East Africa.

Emmanuel has spent over 8 years working with coffee farmers in Rwanda and is passionate about the finest quality coffee beans - almost as seriously as he takes pulling the perfect shot for his morning coffee.

Now living in LA, and frequently being between LA, London, and Rwanda, Emmanuel is looking to bring the coffee from the region he calls home to communities around the world.
